Anxiety / Panic Attacks

Anxiety affects more than half of the world every single day. To some people, it affects them a little more than others. The feeling of fear that encompasses a person at the drop of a hat due to an unknown reason is anxiety precisely. There is no rhyme or reason when it comes to anxiety. However, when the feeling takes over the mind and nothing else remains, it starts to take over the body and leave it incapable and taking it into an anxiety attack.

When the feeling of anguish becomes more than the mind can handle, it takes the body into a shock of sorts, rendering it incapable of doing the basics of tasks and draining all energy. This is called an anxiety or panic attack.

Anxiety can be caused by anything that happens in your daily life, it could either be because of a test you are taking or when you have to make a big decision. These are all small anxiety triggers. If an attack-prone individual is exposed to one of his triggers, it will not take long before the feeling overtakes his mind and body.

Social anxiety is another form where certain social situations make people anxious and possibly compel them to have a panic attack.

Despite the fact that there is no cure to anxiety and panic attacks, there are certain steps you can take to help you handle your attacks in a better way. For example, counselling can help you control your responses to situations or be able to indicate the beginning of an attack so that you may deal with it accordingly.
